Singing Event-I

Azm-E-Noujawan Khairpur

Sewa Development Trust Sindh (SDTS) under Azm-e-Naujawan (AeN) Khairpur organized “Singing event and Celebration of World Music Day” on June 21, 2019 at a public place in Khairpur. More than 160 youth and community engage in the event with participation of young singers to mark the day. The event was focused to create awareness regarding tolerance, interfaith harmony by engaging youth in social and cultural event and build capacity for civic rights and social responsibilities. The All Sindh Sangeetkar Association -ASSA participated and co jointly organised the event. Naveed Khayal, Project Manager, AeN Khairpur, said: it is the first event of its kind being celebrated in Khairpur, he further said this day is being celebrated throughout the world. A young junior singer Mr. Naeem Ghunnio sung a song. He sang a Sindhi song written by Abdul Ghaffar Tabassum and received much appreciation from audience. An other young junior singer Mr. Faisal Bukhari, SDTS Staff also took part and sang a song which was applauded by the audience. Further Mr. Naveed Khayal, put the light on importance of music in society, the music sends a universal massage and connect people throughout the world. Music is a good way to spread love among humanity. The Music of Sufi/mystic poets have given the message of humanity; music also plays a constructed role in society. Another young talent Mr. Mushood, sang a sindhi folk song and received much appreciation from audience. Ustad Abdul Ghaffoor Soomro: highlighted the importance of music in communities and linking it with history of Pakistan and the role of music has played in connecting the people. He quoted Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai poetry lines the poet of people. He also put light on History of celebrating the world music day. Mr. Khadim Hussain Dahot, Trustee/ Managing Director of Sewa Development Trust Sindh shared the importance of music and added the example of Hazrat Dawood (A.S) as a musician. He said it is the music which countered terrorism and extremism in the society. Usdat Manzoor Ali Khan Music academy student, sung a piece song “Gaio Gaio Amn Gheet” after this Singer Ali Gul Laharni sung well known sindhi song and applauded by audience appreciation. Performance by Abida Bahar: Female singer Abida Bahar sung and beautiful song. Performance by Ranjhan Faqir Bhatti: He sung a Sufi/ mystic song, then after famous Sindhi female singer Rukhsana Sorath sang two Sindhi songs and uploaded by audience much appreciated. Performance by Shabana Koyal: sang two songs and received much appreciation from audience. Then among audience volunteer Tanveer Majeedano also sung a song. Performance by Shahzado Kalhoro and others: He sung classical song sa re ga ma pa da nee sa. Young singer Salar Sindhi present folk the song. .
